1. Agreement to These Terms

By visiting our website, submitting a contact form, scheduling service, or providing your phone number for text communications, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

These Terms apply to all customers, visitors, and anyone who interacts with Provident Electric through our website or SMS messaging program.

2. About Our Services

Provident Electric is a licensed electrical contracting company operating in the Pacific Northwest. We provide residential and commercial electrical services including installation, repair, inspection, and maintenance.

Our website and communications tools — including text messaging — exist solely to facilitate scheduling, service delivery, and customer communication. They are not intended for emergency, electrical emergency, or safety situations. If you have an emergency, please call 911. If you have an electrical emergency, please call your utility provider immediately.

3. SMS Messaging Program — Terms of Service

This section governs your participation in the Provident Electric SMS messaging program, operated through our field management software, ServiceTitan.

3.1 Program Description

By providing your mobile phone number and consenting to receive text messages from us, you agree to receive SMS messages related to:

  • Appointment confirmations and reminders
  • Technician dispatch notifications and estimated arrival times
  • Follow-up messages regarding completed work
  • Requests for service feedback or reviews
  • Responses to text messages you initiate to us

This program is designed to keep you informed about your service appointments and give you a convenient way to communicate with our team directly from your phone.

3.2 How to Opt In

You consent to receive SMS messages from us when you:

  • Provide your mobile phone number on a service request, booking form, or contact form on our website and check the consent box, or
  • Verbally provide your phone number to one of our staff members and agree to receive text communications

By opting in, you confirm that you are the account holder or have authorization to consent for the mobile number provided.

Your consent to receive service-related text messages — appointment confirmations and reminders, technician dispatch notifications, follow-up messages regarding completed work, and responses to messages you send us — is separate from your consent to receive promotional messages. We will send text messages requesting service feedback or reviews only to customers who have separately provided prior express written consent to receive such messages. This written consent is not required as a condition of purchasing any goods or services, and you may decline it while continuing to receive service-related messages.

3.3 Message Frequency

Message frequency will vary depending on your scheduled appointments and service activity. Multiple messages per service appointment should be expected — including confirmation, a reminder, a technician dispatch notice, and a follow-up. You may also receive responses to messages you send us.

We send text messages only between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. in your local time zone. We do not send more than three feedback or review-request messages to you within any 24-hour period unless you have an established business relationship with us.

3.4 Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Standard messaging rates charged by your mobile carrier will apply to all SMS messages sent and received. Provident Electric does not charge any additional fee for participation in this messaging program. Contact your mobile carrier if you are unsure about your messaging plan.

3.5 How to Opt Out

You may opt out of receiving SMS messages from us at any time by replying STOP to any text message you receive from us. Replying STOP is one way to opt out, but not the only way — you may also revoke your consent by any reasonable method, including by contacting us directly at (253) 631-7750, and we will honor any such request within ten (10) business days. After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message and no further messages will be sent to your number unless you opt back in.

To opt back in after opting out, reply START to any prior message from us, or contact us directly to re-enroll.

3.6 Help

If you need help or have questions about our SMS program, reply HELP to any text message from us, or contact us directly at (253) 631-7750.

3.7 Supported Carriers

Our SMS program is supported by most major U.S. carriers, including but not limited to AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile. Carrier support is not guaranteed for all carriers. We are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages due to carrier issues.

3.8 Privacy of SMS Communications

Your mobile number and the content of your text messages will not be sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Message data may be stored within our ServiceTitan platform for record-keeping and service management purposes. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your personal information.

4. Website Use

4.1 Permitted Use

Our website is provided for the purpose of learning about our services, requesting estimates, scheduling appointments, and communicating with our team. You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others.

4.2 Prohibited Use

You may not use our website to:

  • Submit false or misleading information
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of our systems
  • Transmit spam, malware, or malicious code
  • Scrape, copy, or reproduce our content without permission
  • Impersonate another person or business

5. Accuracy of Information

We make reasonable efforts to keep the information on our website accurate and up to date, including service descriptions, service area, and contact information. However, we do not warrant that all content is complete, current, or error-free. Pricing and availability are subject to change without notice and will be confirmed at the time of your service request.

6. Estimates and Scheduling

Any estimates provided through our website, by phone, or by text are not binding quotes and are subject to change upon inspection of the actual work site. A confirmed appointment does not constitute a guarantee of same-day service completion, as electrical work scope can vary. Our team will communicate with you directly if the scope of work changes.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on our website — including our company name, logo, written content, images, and graphics — is the property of Provident Electric and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without our written permission.

8. Third-Party Services

Our website and operations rely on third-party platforms including ServiceTitan (field management and SMS), Square (payment processing), and others. Your use of these platforms may be subject to their own terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party providers.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Washington State law, Provident Electric shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website, reliance on information provided on our website, or participation in our SMS messaging program.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our website and SMS program are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that our website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Provident Electric, its employees, and subcontractors from any claims, damages, or expenses — including reasonable attorney's fees — arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of our website or SMS program.

12. Dispute Resolution

We encourage you to contact us directly to resolve any concerns before pursuing formal action. In the event of a dispute that cannot be resolved informally, both parties agree that the dispute shall be governed by the laws of the State of Washington, and that jurisdiction shall be in the appropriate state or federal courts located in King County, Washington.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. The revised version will be posted on our website with an updated effective date. Your continued use of our website or SMS program after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
